Emergency Plan (2023)
The 2023 Event Risk Management/Emergency Response Plan (RM/ERP) has been approved. The 2023 hazard assessment is also available.
What Does My Section Do With The Event's Plan?
This event-wide plan supports a sections' own emergency plan, and can be referenced by a section's emergency plan.
Sections still have to develop/plan:
communication plan. This could include how/what the section team will communicate:
with parents before the event,
among section's participants during the event
after the event (e.g. how/when they notify their GC of their successful return)
transportation plan (if the section is travelling to the event together)
any risk management surrounding section-specific hazards, such as:
inexperienced/under-confident volunteers
youth with special needs
youth with medical needs, allergies or dietary requirements
emergency communication (e.g. as part of emergency site evacuation. Will your section use ScoutsTracker email blast, a phone tree, or a home contact?)
group/section gear they are bringing (e.g. for hot lunch, or transporting personal gear around the site)

A section plan example is provided. The sample can save some typing, but the steps above are still necessary.
